"We live nearby and have been several times. Easy to book a table, staff are really attentive and good to chat too. Curries are really lovely and a great selection of wine. Price is really good for the quality of food and surroundings. Would highly recommend"

"Saw these guys had plenty of rock solid Google customer reviews, so thought I'd give them a go for a change.. Dropped in early Tuesday evening - just after 5pm.. Friendly greeting from Ibi, their Manager. Decor tidy and attractive - everything very clean and tidy.. Good food and drink menu - plenty of choice but not too overwhelming. Went for the Achari chicken with keema rice - took the option of making it madras hot. (Nice to get offered the option) Was very tidily presented - flavour was spot on (well balanced, pleasantly hot but not at all unpalatable - just the right amount of pickle sharpness which a good Achari gives) - ingredient quality high, meat very tender and well marinated, generous portions - but not too overwhelming or wasteful. Plates, cutlery and tablecloths all spotless. Talking to Ibi, it's clear they take price in what they do - their phone rang constantly whilst I was there with people ordering takeaways, confirming there's many in the area making the most of a very good local business. First impressions from first visit was very good - and will definitely get into the habit of going more regularly - as it's a notch above anything else I've tried on north side of Derby and surrounding villages.. For intimate romantic meals for two, the open plan seating layout may not be what you're looking for, but I'd honestly encourage anyone to give it a go - it strikes me as a rock solid place to get good food and attentive service at a very fair price. Top work, team!!"

"Visiting the area for the weekend and we were unsure where to go. We found Mustang Masala on google and thought we'd give it a go. What a great choice, the staff were very friendly from the onset and we all tried something different and we all commented on how hot (temperature) and delicious the food was. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely go back. Thank you for making us feel welcome"

"Superb local restaurant, arguably now the best in Derby. We're really fortunate to have it within walking distance and now rarely head into town as the food and hospitality is so good. I did notice a recent poor review which in no way matches the excellent experience we have here. The dishes that the chef and his team create have excellent depth of flavour and consistency, not watery at all. The naan breads and indeed all the food from the tandoor is the best I've had at any Indian/Nepalese restaurant, local or distant. If you go by the huge majority of excellent reviews and ignore the suspect ones, you'll be fine. The "Mustang" as it's now affectionately known across all of our family is top-notch. Credit to the front-of-house guys too, very pleasant and helpful."

"Our first time ordering from Mustang Masala, and it certainly won’t be the last! Both curries were amazing, you could taste how fresh the ingredients were. The reason we chose to try from here was due to their huge amount of choice for vegetarians. As a vegetarian I just haven’t seen that anywhere else, so so impressed. Excellent service too, ordered online and it was ready to collect in under 20 minutes. Cannot fault in any way, many thanks."

"We had a lovely dinner on Saturday night with my partners family. Food was delicious. This was the Christmas menu at £29.95 each. Lamb chops and onion bhaji to start, chicken makhani and fish massala as main with cheese and garlic nan. Would definitely recommend it. Staff were lovely."

"This was my first time ordering from Mustang Masala. I had it delivered and the delivery was a bit late, which was a little frustrating. That said, the food itself was very nice when it arrived. It was hot, full of flavour and tasted fresh. I’m quite fussy with food and if I have a bad experience I usually won’t order again, but the quality of the food was good enough that I would consider giving them another try. Hopefully next time the delivery time is a bit better, but overall the food was really enjoyable."

"Visiting the area for a few days and booked here. So glad we did! What a great place. Food and service were without fault. Has to be one of the best Indian meals we have ever had! Everything was so fresh. The restaurant itself is immaculate and the guy serving is just about as helpful as you can get. Quality for the price is superb. Intend to book again before we have to leave the area."
